Oneida Lake

This New York State lake is located 10 miles north of Syracuse in Oneida and Oswego Counties. Although it is shallow, it is known as New York’s State largest lake with a shoreline length of 77.2 miles. You will find endless relaxation time whether it is renting a boat for the day, enjoying the views of Oneida Lake from Borio’s Restaurant in Cicero, or renting a kayak at Stone’s Marina in Bridgeport. For all of the fishers out there, Oneida Lake is best known for its walleye and yellow perch fishery. But you can find other species such as tiger musky, black crappie and bowfin when fishing out on the lake. As visitors, you will find a great time by, or on, the lake.

William Memorial Park, 7033 Lakeshore Road, Cicero, NY 13039

William Memorial Park is one of the most popular parks in the town of Cicero. The park offers numerous opportunities for both land and water activities that includes a wedding gazebo for small weddings and formal pictures, canoeing, and kayaking. It also has three pavilions that are available for gatherings and reunions. Other park amenities also include a boat launch, picnic area, grills, and a playground.

Plank Road Park, 5471 Mudmill Road, Brewerton, NY 13029

Plank Road Park is the largest park of the town of Cicero as it sits on 43 acres. The park has an exercise station for visitors who love to get in shape outdoors, a ¾ mile trail that is good for walking, running or an escape route, and multi-use fields. Other park amenities also includes two pavilions, picnic area, playground, trail, and volleyball court.

Riverfront Park, 5449 Bennett Street, Brewerton, NY 13029

Riverfront Park is the best when it comes to relaxing and enjoying the views of the Oneida River. It brings all the boating activity that you can enjoy along with access to picnic tables for a comforting meal with friends and family.

Skyway Park, 5950 East Taft Road, North Syracuse, NY 13212

Skyway Park is the home of North Syracuse Little League; but has more to offer than your average baseball field. Skyway Park also offers activities such as basketball, tennis and space for exercising on the ball fields. In 2012, a pavilion was added to the park making it a great place to picnic.

Central Park, 6540 NY-31, Cicero, NY 13039

Home of multiple baseball fields, tennis courts and a playground encompassing 25 acres. Central park is also the official home of Cicero Little League and the Cicero Falcons Football and Cheer Teams. You can also enjoy some family leisure time with a nice lunch in the park’s pavilion.

Town of Cicero Senior Center, 5924 Lathrop Drive, Cicero, NY 13039

The Senior Center offers an array of activities for Seniors to enjoy Monday to Friday. Seniors can find themselves occupied with activities such as craft classes, cooking classes, exercise, monthly trips and much more. During the summer days you can spend time at one of our family-friendly theme parks that has over enough attractions to keep children busy throughout the day. You can find professional sports as Syracuse is the home of Chiefs Baseball and Crunch Hockey; or spend time at one of our speedway tracks. Central New York has a wide range of attractions that will be sure to keep you and your family satisfied.
